This is my idea of the perfect midday snack. It's sweet and savoury, salty and spicy. A fireworks of flavours and pleasure. Juice explodes with every nibble and transforms from everyday fruit segment into a sweet and salty afternoon addiction. This is perfect all by itself. It's also great with your afternoon tea.
I love the combination of orange and chocolate and this is another one of those simple recipes that anybody can make and everybody will enjoy. Three ingredients: Dark chocolate, clementines and salt (or in this case chili salt). One happy ending.
Start by melting the chocolate in a double-boiler then dipping clementine fragments half way deep and resting them on a parchment lined sheet. Finally sprinkle each chocolate-smothered piece with chili salt. Slide it into the fridge for 15 minutes to rest and you're done.
Don't rush the cooling process. Let them fully set up and harden. You won't be disappointed!
From my kitchen to yours, happy eating!

These look incredible and put my plain clementines to shame that I am eating right now as I plow though report cards and parking. Bookmarked!
This is my idea of a midday, midmorning, and midnight snack!

I've done chocolate covered candied orange peels before, but never just chocolate dipped clementines. Great recipe!

I just found your blog today and I love it! This recipe had me in the market today picking up a crate of Clementines and some sea salt. Just finished a small batch and wow are they delicous! I just posted on my blog with a link to your site. I am having a party Monday night and will be making these. Thanks so much for posting it!

Forget chocolate covered strawberries, this sounds even better! Love the chile salt too.
Thank you Lisa! Give it a shot and let me know.
What a nice idea, I don't usually think of dipping fresh citrus fruit, mainly candied. I think we are so used to eating things a certain way sometimes we forget to mix things up a bit, thanks for the inspiration.
How original!
Thank you Sylvie! I couldn't agree more, we're all guilty of that!
Thanks Marla!
